Inspirational pics from food mecca London...

I had a such a great time in London! It was a lot of fun to meet my friends from University again, and to be in a city I love. Even if I haven't seen some of them since last year, it only felt like yesterday, but I hope it wont be too long until I see them again. The weather was nice too...yes actually...much better than Stockholm at least. Sunny days, lots of yummi foods and cakes, Starbucks coffee, strolls in Kensington gardens and Hyde Park, Borough Market and Portobello Market. What else can a girl want?!

If you would like to bake flower-pot bread you can find a really nice recipe from Not Quite Nigella. These lovely breads will be the talk of the night at your dinner party. Not Quite Nigella will provide you with an step-by-step recipe that is very easy to follow. So bake away!

My treat when visiting Portobello Market was the dark Chocolate Pistachio Slice from Popina, a bakery/brand that was founded in 2000 by Isidora Popovic. She started off with a grant from Prince Charles' Prince's trust and a stall at Portobello Market.  I found the recipe at Rosas yummy yums and i recommend you try it. I absolutely loved it!! The tart is made of a perfectly chocolaty shortcrust pastry, filled with a soft and smooth génoise tasting of both sweetness and light bitterness in a perfect combination AND on the tarts were glazed with a dark ganache and sprinkled with pistachios. Mmmmmm!
