After the holidays with all the foods and sweets we've been stuffing us full with I thought you might like some healthy tips to kick-start a well balanced lifestyle.
Also, I do hope you eat breakfast?! It's the most important meal of the day and really sets the ground for how well you will eat for the rest of the day. For breakfast I can highly recommend oatmeal porridge. I know, it sounds sooo boring and way too healthy. You just need to learn to spice it up a little bit. I can honestly say that I eat this almost every single day and have done so the past couple of years and I NEVER EVER get bored. I still like it and i still find it the best breakfast ever!!!
Anjas Food 4 Thought has made this wonderful oatmeal porridge with mashed bananas and blueberries. And you can mix whatever you like into your porridge; cinnamon and apples are perfect, well, all kinds of fruit and berries are perfect. You can also add raisins, nuts and seeds to make it more crunchy, honey....the variations are endless....
But if you still prefer something a bit more sweet or maybe make a delicious weekend breakfast. Why not try Cozy Cottage Cute's Wholegrain Raspberry Pancakes: Who can resist that!!! :-)
Do you like to eat snack when the famous 3 o'clock tiredness arrives?! Why not make these Homemade Apple Chips from The Italian Dish Blog.
How about some Pumpkin Spice Latte? The Pastry Affair made one sounded oh so delicious!!! I thinks this on can remove some of the sweet cravings we've created during the holidays.
If not, I have a lovely Double Chocolate Cake with Hot Fudge that will make you smile like a fool! :-) Stop by Jamie Cooks it Up to find the recipe to your own chocolate heaven!
